The city’s chefs, restaurateurs, cocktail pros and wine buffs are always cooking something up, whether it’s a one-off collaborative menu or a long-running kitchen takeover, and you’ve usually gotta act fast to be in attendance. And it’s not just restaurants, there are countless supper clubs in the capital, often run by chefs as a supplement to the day job, where you’ll find some of the most exciting menus in the city – you might find them flying just under your radar.

Tacos with Friends at Side Hustle
Side Hustle, the acclaimed cocktail bar at NoMad London, is inviting in some special guests for its Tacos with Friends monthly series. Each collaborator will create a taco, which’ll be available at Side Hustle for the featured month, with a portion of the proceeds from each taco sold going to support food waste charity City Harvest. Following Brat’s Tomos Parry in May, actor Will Poulter is next in June and bartender and Muyu Liqueurs co-founder Monica Berg is in July.

Aidan & Friends at Half Cut Market
Head to the York Way Riviera this summer for a new guest chef series at Half Cut Market. Head Chef Aidan Richardson is bringing in some mates he’s worked with in previous kitchens to cook up a collab menu over two nights. First up is Frankie Clarke from Camille, who’ll be cooking up dishes inspired by his British-Jamaican heritage. The following three editions will feature Adam Viguier Juarez from Bottleshop in Amsterdam, Ciaran Patrick of Bodega in Amsterdam, and Moray Lamb from Montrose in Edinburgh.

Jaffna Crab Night at Rambutan
Rambutan is hosting a Jaffna Crab Night and it’s set to be a hands-on, spice-filled feast. Celebrating the height of British crab season, Cynthia Shanmugalingam and her team will be dishing up their legendary northern Sri Lankan crab curry: whole crab simmered in coconut milk, roasted spices and moringa leaves, served family-style with July’s best produce, sambols, fried breads and pillowy roti. Mr Bao’s Peckham Weekender
Mr Bao is bringing the Peckham Weekender back for 2025, gathering some of SE15 buzziest restaurants together to help raise money for community food club Peckham Pantry. Erics’ Summer BBQ

The Dusty Knuckle is hosting two Sunday BBQ sessions this July, showcasing outdoor cooking in a wood oven. Quality Wines & Friends
This summer, Quality Wines in Clerkenwell launches Quality Wines & Friends – a Sunday series of one-off collaborative menus with Head Chef Nick Bramham and a standout line-up of guest chefs. Following Tom Zahir (Decatur), there’s Adejoké Bakare (Chishuru), Sertaç Dirik (ex-Mangal II), Dara Klein (Tiella), Boutheina Ben Salem, and Melek Erdal. Weekdays also bring a refreshed lunch menu of seasonal Southern European dishes, served Tuesday to Saturday as a two or three-course set.

Joyeta Ng at “mu”
Joyeta Ng (who’s spent time in the kitchen at Den in Tokyo, The Chairman in Hong kong and Kitchen Table in London) is taking up residence at “mu” on Mondays and Tuesdays this summer. Toklas Bakery X Cibo: Sandwich Market
On Saturday 12th July, Toklas Bakery is throwing its very first Sandwich Market – because London’s obsession with bread and brilliant fillings isn’t slowing down any time soon. Selin Kiazim will be in the house at Leydi on 15th July to whip up a special Turkish-Cypriot feast with cook and author Meliz Berg. The duo will be sharing their memories of the flavours of Cyprus with a menu that includes Oklava-style hellim with Meliz’s çörek (spiced seeded bread) and şeftali kebap wrapped in lamb caul fat and served with Cyprus potato chips, onion salad and pide.

The Tamil Prince x Essi
Things are heating up in Islington as The Tamil Prince teams up with Essi for a two-day BBQ weekender that’s all about fire, flavour, and cross-cultural feasting. On Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June, Prince Durairaj and Kossie Vais join forces to serve a £55 set menu fusing the punchy, spice-laden soul of Indian cooking with the smoky, sun-drenched vibes of the Greek Med. Think spit-roasted whole lamb marinated in masala, saganaki prawn masala toasties, and whipped feta wedges dusted with gunpowder and Greek five spice.

Paris à Londres at Levan and Bar Levan
Paris is coming to London – specifically Peckham – this spring and summer as Levan and Bar Levan plays host to four of the city’s best independent restaurants with the Paris à Londres residency series. Each restaurant will take over Levan for a lunch service, showcasing some of their signature dishes, and then an after party at Bar Levan, where the sommeliers will crack open some of their fave bottles. Following Minibar on 27th April, La Verre Volé on 18th May, and Buttes Snack Bar on 15th June is Les Oeillets (20th July).

LUTO at The Pilgrim
Paddington hotel The Pilgrim is launching a new chef residency series and it’s kicking off with a three-month pop-up from Filipino-British concept LUTO, led by Mary San Pablo. Her menu blends British produce and South East Asian flavours, with dishes like blackened pork belly with brown butter and pineapple; pickled garlic cucumbers with coconut & cashew ajo blanco; half-charred mackerel bicol express; short rib kare kare with peanut & bagoong sauce and wild garlic salsa verde; and leche flan.
