Heidi is a 6-month-old female Cross-Breed. Heidi is currently in foster care in Darwen, Lancashire, and she’s already proving to be a bundle of joy.
She may be young, but she’s got a personality big enough to fill the room. Although Heidi hasn’t been spayed yet because of her age, she’s already starting to show how much love she has to give.
Heidi is living with an older dog and a cat, which is giving her lots of social practice. However, she’s a little too interested in the cat — by “a little,” we mean she’s basically giving that cat way more attention than any self-respecting feline wants.
So a cat-free home would probably save everyone’s sanity.
Right now, Heidi tips the scales at 12 kg, and she’s expected to be a medium-sized dog once fully grown. That’s perfect if you want a dog who’s big enough for adventures but small enough that you won’t need a forklift to move her off your lap when she’s done snuggling.
She’s looking for her forever home with another resident dog, ideally a playful young male who’s ready for non-stop zoomies and puppy wrestling matches.
Heidi is learning the ropes of home life like a champ. She’s already working on her commands and is settling in beautifully, which shows she’s eager to please. Heidi’s happy-go-lucky nature makes her a cuddle machine who just wants to share all the love she can.
Walking on a lead is still a bit of a work in progress for Heidi, but hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day — and neither is perfect leash etiquette. She absolutely adores her time on the long line, which lets her zoom around like the world’s happiest bullet train.
Heidi’s social game is strong; she’s happy to greet dogs she meets on walks with a polite hello before diving nose-first into her very important mission of sniffing every blade of grass in the vicinity.
This shows she’s friendly and has no issues sharing her world with other dogs outside the home.
Heidi’s playful energy, sweet temperament, and willingness to learn make her a fantastic candidate for a family who can keep up with her zest for life. She’s got all the makings of the perfect adventure buddy and cuddle partner rolled into one wagging package.
